I was born in South Korea and grew up in New Jersey. When I was in third grade, I saw Nickelodeon’s Harriet the Spy. That’s when I knew I wanted to be a writer, because I thought seeing the whole world and writing everything down would be the coolest job ever.
I went on to graduate from Montclair State University, where I majored in English and minored in Russian. I also hold an MA in women’s studies from Southern Connecticut State University.
After living in Missouri for several years, I knew I was a Jersey girl at heart. (How can I live without Taylor ham and the Jersey Shore?) So I returned to the Garden State to be closer to my loved ones. When I’m not writing, I’m making a mess art journaling, tackling my to-be-read pile, or spending time with my husband and daughters.
